Shannon grew up in Petoskey Michigan. She got her undergraduate degree double majoring in chemistry and criminal justice from Michigan State University. While in undergrad, she worked with Dr. Gary Blanchard where she discovered her love for doing research. Outside of chemistry, Shannon enjoys reading, hosting game nights, and fostering pets.
