About
Kayla grew up in the small town of Elysburg, PA. She received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Penn State University in the spring of 2024. While in undergrad, she worked as a teaching assistant for organic chemistry lectures and conducted research with Dr. Beth Elacqua. This research focused on the synthesis and ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of a paracyclophanediene toward conjugated donor-acceptor polymers. In her free time, Kayla enjoys cooking/baking, listening to music, and spending time outside.
