Josh earned a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.A. in French from the University of Virginia, where he conducted undergraduate research under Cliff Stains, focusing on the synthesis and evaluation of Near Infrared Dyes for biomedical imaging. Currently in the Tepe Lab, Josh is working on the total synthesis of bromopyrrole alkaloids through electrochemical oxidation. Outside of chemistry, Josh enjoys biking, baking, and board gaming.
